PHARMACY MAZZOLINI GIUSEPPUCCI
The ancient Mazzolini-Giuseppucci pharmacy is a museum and still today a family run pharmacy, with extraordinary wooden furnishings made by the Perugian artist Adolfo Ricci between 1896 and 1899 approximately.
The decoration of the Mazzolini Giuseppucci pharmacy is a unique “carved book” in Italy, which tells the story of man’s progress through science.
In the vault and along the walls of the pharmacy, which almost looks like a miniature cathedral, you can read some of the most important pages of chemical, physical and medical discoveries, told through the portraits of 25 scientists who were its protagonists.
The splendid closets of the Mazzolini-Giuseppucci pharmacy preserve a collection of Ginori porcelain of enormous value where, more than a century ago, medicinal herbs were preserved.
