The Pilgrimage is an environment of the former hospital of Santa Maria della Scala in Siena. The construction of the hall dates back to medieval times and is presented as a longitudinal environment covered by cross vaults.
Inside it contains one of the most important cycles of frescoes from the Sienese renaissance, carried out in several phases between 1430 and 1570, with the participation of Domenico di Bartolo and Lorenzo Vecchietta.
